Basirhat, West Bengal
Hi, I'm Moumita Mondal, the hands behind NakshaKata. I live in Basirhat, West Bengal, where art and craft have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started as a personal love for painting and design slowly grew into NakshaKata — a small, home-grown studio where I hand-paint Punjabi kurtas and a range of handmade décor pieces, each one created with patience, care, and a genuine love for the craft.
I enjoy working with color, texture, and traditional motifs, and I love experimenting with patterns inspired by nature, folk art, and everyday life around me. Since everything is hand-painted, no two pieces are ever exactly alike — and that's exactly what makes them special.
Beyond kurtas, I also create a range of other handmade and hand-painted products, and I'm always open to bringing your ideas to life. If you have something specific in mind — a color, a motif, a size, or a completely custom design — I'd genuinely love to hear about it and see how we can create it together.
I built NakshaKata because I wanted to share this craft with people beyond my immediate circle, and to make sure every customer feels the same warmth and honesty they'd get buying directly from an artist they know personally. That's also why you'll always find my own face, my socials, and real customer orders on this website — I want you to know exactly who you're buying from.
Thank you for taking the time to know a little more about me. I'd love to hear from you — feel free to reach out anytime on WhatsApp or through my social pages below.
